Hinckley Leicester Road head into a hectic and cruical stage of their league season starting this Saturday.

After Saturdays 2-1 defeat away to Sutton Coldfield Town, a busy 3 weeks follows with Neil Lynes side gearing up to take on 6 matches in 18 days as they look to turn around a poor start in the NPL Midlands.

Five matches in the league and one in the County Cup is the order of business for The Knitters starting with a home match against fellow relegation zone residents Rugby Town this Saturday. Rugby survived by the skin of their teeth last season surviving with a 3 better goal difference than AFC Rushden and Diamonds. They currently sit 19th with 10 points from 11 games but are bottom of the form table only acquiring 2 in their previous 6.

That's followed up with a trip to newly promoted Racing Club Warwick on Tuesday 22nd. Warwick got promoted via the playoffs last season after beating Aylestone Park in the UCL South Playoff final and have averaged just over a point a game following their promotion currently sitting in 13th.

Then on Saturday 26th its back at Leciester Road for the visit of Wellingborough Town. Another newly promoted team also from the UCL South, Wellingborough won the league by 12 points last season and and have adjusted to life at step 4 well, currently sitting in 12th place with 14 points.

It's a break from league action then as The Knitters travel to Sign Right Park to take on Melton Town in the first round of the County Cup, an exact copy of last season. Melton made the Playoffs last season in the UCL North losing out to Loughborough Students in the semi finals and have started strong this season sitting just outside the playoffs with games in hand. Melton feature ex Hinckley players Harry Wakefield, Yaegan Gore and Keenan King in their squad.

November kicks off with another trip to The Loughborough University Stadium on the 2nd. Loughborough Students are the opposition again, this time in league action after Hinckley knocked Loughborough out of the FA Trophy on penalties back in September. Loughborough Sudents were promoted from the UCL North last season beating Melton Town and Skegness in the playoffs and currently sit 17th in the league table.

To round off this hectic period it's a home clash with AFC Rushden and Diamonds on bonfire night. The Diamonds finished in the relegation spots last season but stayed up due to Loughborough Dynamo withdrawing from the league. They haven't had the same struggles this season currently sitting in 11th in the league table with 14 points from their opening 11 games
