Stacey and Marriott’s young knitter’s side successfully navigated awkward conditions to overcome Heather St Johns and progress to the next round of the County Cup on Wednesday evening.

A soggy and slippery pitch was unhelpful to both sides but goals from Kai Jones, Parker Koutta, Micah Tomlin, Callum Sumner and Oskar Kasperek eventually made sure of the result despite a nervous period during the second half on a deteriorating surface which saw the home side reduce the deficit by two.
