Luke Hall's young squad finally get their league campaign under way a week after the Senior League officially started. The majority of Senior League 2 are also set to start their league fixtures with only 2 games being played last Saturday.

Its a tough first test for the Development side as they face Rugby Borough Reserves who finished outside the promotion spots last season in 3rd place.

In assembling the squad, the management team of Luke, Scott and Liam have identified targets they believe can go on and represent the first team later in their development or players that understand the league to assist in plotting a promotion charge. Despite 1/2 experienced players joining the group, the average age of the group is still only 19.

Head Coach Luke Hall is pleased with how preparations have gone and is now looking forward to Saturday saying ' As a new group coming together this summer, we are behind other existing sides in our league in terms of foundations being set however our pre season preparations have been excellent and we are exactly where we want to be. Its a tough start to our league campaign against Rugby who missed out on promotion by a single place but it will be a good barometer of where we are. This young group has been together since the middle of June after coming into pre season early with the first team and they can't wait to get started'
