Goals from Ayobomi Abiodun and Joe Marriott along with a save of quality from Spencer Stacey to deny Hinckley AFC from the penalty spot confirmed Hinckley LRFC Under 18s as County Champions at Holmes Park yesterday evening.

The large crowd who travelled to Holmes Park were treated to a game where both sides gave everything, but a first half where the Leicester Road group dominated proved to be the difference between the two sides.

A consolation goal for Hinckley AFC late in the second half was not enough to turn the game.

A fantastic evening and advert for under 18’s football with Leicester Road delivering a whole team performance and deservedly taking the title, the trophy and the applause.

One for the history books.
