Hinckley started off well and should of been ahead after just 4 minutes. King failing to convert from a cut back. However it wasn't long until Hinckley took the lead, patient work down the left led to the ball being played to Harry Smith who curled a shot over the keeper from the corner of the box. It was quickly 2 when a slide rule pass found Greenwood who calmly slotted home and on 26 minutes good work down the right resulted in King nodding home from 8 yards out.
With Hinckley 3-0 up the game started to become disjointed and St Andrews found a foothold in the game, a lapse in concentration in playing out from the back almost resulted in a goal but Captain Worrad clear off the line expertly. It was however, Hinckley who went in at Half time 3 goals to the good.
Just like the previous Saturday, Hinckley started the second half excellently and it was 4-0 within 40 seconds of the restart, Boyce getting onto a raking midfield pass to calmly slot home. It was soon to be 5 when Smith scored to add his second and 4th goal in 2 games. Just 6 minutes into the second half and it was 6-0, Smith playing though King one on one who finished low into the bottom corner.
St Andrews appeared shell shocked but a defensive lapse resulted in the referee pointing to the spot and the penalty converted. This wasn't to set Hinckley back and Greenwood after being released down the left hand side before hammering into the top corner to make it 7-1. On 67 minutes the deficit was reduced once again, the St Andrews substitute neatly finishing after the ball was given away twice in quick succession deep in the Hinckley half.
With St Andrews beginning to tire, Hinckley continued to poor forward in numbers. A neat through ball from Deacon played in Greenwood who rounded the keeper before pulling it back to King for his hat-trick. On 78 minutes, good work from Smith in the St Andrews box set up King to ruthlessly finish from 7 yards out. Due to knocks, Hinckley finished the remaining 12 minutes with 10 players comfortably to give them their second win of the season.
